About Sarah & Fleur de Vénus
Hi love! I won’t keep you long — I know you’re a busy florist, and you didn’t come here to read my entire life story. 😂
So, here’s what you should know about me:
My relationship with flowers began in 2016 when I started working in a local grocery store floral department. I went on to work in several floral shops, graduated from Toronto Flower School in 2018, and took on freelance floral work while also becoming a Rose Priestess from 2019–2022. Those years gave me so much more than an understanding flowers and floral design; they deeply healed — especially the rose.
During those years, I built businesses and educational products, giving me firsthand experience in branding, selling, and turning an idea into something real.
I started Fleur de Vénus in September 2025 because I wanted to build a floral business that brought more joy back into my life, and I wanted to prove to myself that a home-based floral studio could be a real business. After successful Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day seasons, and consistent orders, Fleur de Vénus became that proof.
I built the floral studio I once thought I wasn’t “legitimate” enough to have and completely changed the way I viewed what a home-based floral studio could be.
That experience (and definitely more) is why I created Build a Luxury Floral Studio From Home for you; I wanted to take what I’ve learned through both floral work and business and give talented florists the tools, systems, and structure to build something of their own — without waiting for a storefront to make it feel legitimate.
